Abstract

1,111,347. Two-part couplings. DEREHAM ENGINEERING Ltd. 14 Feb., 1967 [15 March, 1966], No. 11377/66. Heading H2E. In a coaxial plug-and-socket connector, the outer conductive sleeve 12 of the plug is provided with an inward projection 12a which engages an annular recess 15a in the outer conductive sleeve 15 of the socket so that the concentricity of the inner plug-and-socket contacts 13, 16 is disturbed and positive contact is ensured. The insulating sleeve 11 of the plug has a shoulder 11b, a tapered portion 11a and an annular barb 11c which respectively engage the end surface, tapered portion 14b and annular recess 14c of the insulating sleeve 14a of the socket 14.
