Abstract

A composition of at least one acid <FORM:1109579/C4-C5/1> and at least one amidamine <FORM:1109579/C4-C5/2> wherein R1 and R2 (same or different) is an aliphatic C5- 21 hydrocarbon radical; X is H or C1- 4 alkyl or C2- 3 oxalkyl; Y is H and/o methyl; Z is H or methyl; z is zero or 1; n is 1 when Z is H or methyl or 2 if Z is H; m is an integer from 2 to 5, is added to fuel oils as an anticorrosion agent. Numerous examples of suitable compounds are given, whilst fuels listed are gasoline jet fuel, diesel oil.
