Abstract

1339066 Gasoline ESSO RESEARCH & ENG CO 19 April 1971 [16 March 1970] 23198/71 Heading C5G Fuels comprise gasoline and a minor amount of a tertiary aliphatic amine having one normal C 12 -C 20 straight chain aliphatic hydrocarbon radical and 2 C 1 -C 3 alkyl radicals. The fuel may also contain a C 12 -C 20 primary aliphatic amine (mixtures of dimethyl n-octadecyl amine and hydrogenated tallow amine being preferred). The amine(s) may be added as a concentrate in a solvent comprising a mixture of liquid aromatic hydrocarbon and a polar solvent. The fuel may also contain a waxalkylated aromatic hydrocarbon, alkyl lead and olefinic lead compounds, ethylene dichloride or dibromide, t-butyl acetate, tri-#- chloroethyl phosphate, isopropanol and hexylene glycol.
