Abstract

1,109,567. Valves. SEETRU Ltd. 17 Nov., 1966 [27 Nov., 1965], No. 50508/65. Heading F2V. A relief valve has a closure member 3 coupled by threaded rod 4 to a sleeve 6 which carries the lower end of loading spring 15, the arrangement being such that rotation of the end of sleeve 6 protruding from housing 11 varies the loading on closure member 3. Holes 8 cooperating with castellations (not shown) in sleeve 6 permit the valve to be locked in its adjusted position by a pin or sealing wire. Knob 7 is provided to enable rod 4 to be held against rotation during adjustment of sleeve 6, and to facilitate manual opening of the valve.
