Abstract

1,114,007. Valves. R. G. ABERCROMBIE & CO. Ltd. 31 Oct., 1966 [9 Oct., 1965], No. 42924/65. Heading F2V. A valve 2 with a rotatable stem 7 which projects from the valve housing, is locked by a device comprising a body 1 fastened to the housing by internal screws 3. A closure 10 is screwed into the body 1 and surrounds the stem 7. The closure is locked to the body 1 by a pin 25 through lugs 12A, 13A and a padlock (not shown) through the pin at 26. A locking lever 14 fast with the stem can be secured by the same pin 25 when it is desired to lock the valve at a particular setting. An actuating key 20 can be inserted over the stem in one angular position and in other positions is retained by a catch 21 in groove 22.
