Abstract
1,107,504. Concrete floor structure. REINFORCED CONCRETE SPECIALISTS Ltd. 6 July, 1965 [8 April, 1964], No. 14570/64. Heading E1W. A raised concrete floor structure comprises pillars 10 located at the corners of preferably equilateral triangles, beams 17 extending between each pillar and all its adjacent pillars, and flooring panels 20 filling the space between the beams. The pillars 10 comprise a tubular portion 11 Fig. 2 (not shown) surmounted by a tubular head 12 both filled with insitu poured concrete. The beams have 60‹ tapered ends each formed with an aperture which engages over a spigot 16 projecting upwardly from the column head. The panels 20 are rabetted at 21 along their edges so that they rest upon and project above the beams, the space above the beams 17 and between the slabs 20 being filled with in-situ poured concrete.
