Abstract
1,122,035. Reinforcement spacer. BAUSTAHLGEWEBE G.m.b.H. 22 Nov., 1965 [21 Nov., 1964], No. 49471/65. Heading E1W. A prismatic body of reinforced concrete used to space reinforcement of concrete structures from the base surface against which the concrete is poured, comprises two parallel supporting surfaces 9 and end and side surfaces 7, 8 each comprising two portions, e.g. 8a 8b, Fig. 2, each adjoining one of the supporting surfaces 9 and forming therewith an angle different from a right angle. The side surfaces may form a salient feature as in Figs. 1 and 2, or a reentrant feature as in Fig. 3 (not shown). The body may be used to support flooring reinforcement 2 as in Fig. 1. The body may have projecting reinforcement which enables it to be hooked on to the reinforcement for use in constructing a wall.
