Abstract

743,129. Reinforced concrete. GRIFFITHS & CO., Ltd., W., and HOPKINS, F. L. Dec. 1, 1953 [Dec. 1, 1952], No. 30393/52. Class 20(4). A concrete spacer 7, for supporting a reinforcing rod or bar in a mould in the manufacture of a formed concrete. body, has a portion which narrows in cross-section to an apex to provide a curved peripheral mould contacting rim 9 of negligible thickness. As shewn the spacer is in the form of two cone frustums disposed base to base to form the knife-edged rim 9 and apertured at 8 to receive the reinforcement.
