Abstract

1,104,366. Air conditioning; removing noxious gas in industrial operations. SULZER BROTHERS Ltd. 14 July, 1965 [24 July, 1964], No. 29859/65. Headings F4V and F4X. [Also in Division D1] A room 41 which houses machines 42, 43, for false-twist crimping yarns (see Divisions D1- D2) is equipped with systems 44, 45, which deliver temperature and/or humidity conditioned cooling air in the direction of arrows 46. As shown in the left-hand side, the spent air and unwanted vapours produced in the treatment of the yarns flow freely through an opening 48 into a ceiling exhaust duct 47. In an alternative arrangement (shown in the righthand side) the spent air &c. passes through openings 49 into a transverse duet and thence to the duet 47. Air &c. then passes through a duct 50 and orifices 51 to chambers 52, 53, housing conditioners 54, 55, connected by pipes 56, 57, to a fresh air source. Conditioned air, mixed with fresh air as desired, is returned to system 44, 45, through ducts 58, 59.
