812,417. Air conditioning and air-conditioned enclosures. WEYCO (EQUIPMENT) Ltd., and HOBSON, L. Nov. 22, 1956 [Dec. 19, 1955], No. 36336/55. Class 137 [Also in Groups XII and XIII] A cabinet for treating articles with air conditioned as regards temperature and/ or humidity comprises inner and outer shells 1 and 2 spaced apart to provide an air passage for circulating air as shown, the inner shell having shelves 6 and 7 for supporting the articles to be treated and dividing the chamber therein into a series of compartments each of which has an air inlet and outlet 12 and 14 respectively, baffles 13 being provided adjacent the air inlets 12 to equalize the amount of air passing through each compartment. A fan 8, a device 10 for atomizing water with air from a pipe 11, a heater 9 are arranged in the base of the cabinet and air vents 15 and 16 control the amount of outside air drawn into and expelled from the cabinet. The air flow to the pipe 11 and thereby the humidity within the cabinet may be controlled by means of a magnetic valve operated by the wet bulb of a wet- and dry-bulb thermometer. The Provisional Specification states that the air in the cabinet may be treated with a drying agent.
