Abstract

A valve sealing ring a moulded from resiliently deformable material, such as rubber, has inner and outer peripheries f, h rounded profile to provide sealing surfaces and is of dished substantially frusto-conical shape so that if the ring is held against axial movement at one periphery the ring acts as a spring loading the other periphery against axial movement. The valve may be fitted in the neck of a liquid container for actuation by a striker d when a dispensing head is fitted to the container, the valve simultaneously opening a pair of channels b and c. The ring may be shaped as shown in Fig. 3 and be moved bodily on a central tubular member against a spring load at its inner periphery.
