A guide bush 20 for the upper end of a needle valve 12 is secured in position in a tubular injector body 10 by fusible metallic material 21 e.g. solder. In Fig. 2 (not shown) the outer surface of the bush 20 and the inner surface of its surrounding bore are screw-threaded with threads of differing diameter to provide a gap for the solder 21.
