A fuel injector comprises body parts 10, 16 held together in a cup 17 by a nut 19, an integral boss 11 on the part 10 projecting through a slit 18 extending from the free end of the cup 17 to a point near to its base. A fuel supply pipe 14 is welded into the boss 11.
