Valves.-The supply of fuel to cylinders arranged around and parallel to a central driving shaft b, and containing oppositely acting pistons, may be controlled by a single rotary conicallv seated valve d, on the shaft b, through suitable inlet and exhaust ports such as d', and cylinder ports a<1>, and the valve may be rotated from the central shaft. by toothed gearing p', p<2>, p<3>, p<4>. Separate tappet valves may be used for each cylinder and operated by suitable mechanism such as cams.
