109,206. Walker, Hunter, & Co., and Waiker, J. Feb. 2, 1917. Ashes, collecting; air supply, regulating. -- In stoves, ranges, water-heaters, fire-places, &c. of the kind wherein an air-heating chamber is formed by a " hearth," slab, or partition which also forms the roof of the ash-pit, the front of the chamber 1 is closed by an air-shoot 2 which conducts the ashes to the ash-pan 4. The top of the shoot 2 is apertured for the passage of the rake 3 and supports a sliding table 5, which regulates the supply of air. Preferably, it is fitted with lugs 7 which limit its movements.
