Abstract

109,186. Bullard, H. A. Dec. 22, 1916. Fixed-abutment type; discharge and suction passages; governing and regulating.-Sliding- rocking vanes I are pivoted to a rotary carrier L and arranged to slide in rocking members N carried by a rotor G, which is driven synchronously with the carrier L by studs 0 mounted in the carrier end-plates M and engaging slots P in the rotor G. The carrier L is secured to the shaft F, and the rotor G rotates on a fixed eccentric V, which may be rotatably adjusted by hand or governor controlled worm gear X, W for the purpose of varying the cut-off or delivery pressure in the case of a gas engine or pump. An inlet D and outlet E are provided in the casing and ports U in the carrier L. A water jacket H with inlet R and outlet S may be provided. In a modification for use as a liquid-pump or engine, large openings are formed in the carrier L so as to provide ample clearance space for liquids containing grit &c.
