Abstract

1,090,694. Valve-bags. CELLOPHANE S.A. Jan. 31, 1966 [Feb. 16, 1965], No. 4225/66. Heading B8K. A bag 1, Fig. 3, having a sheet 2 folded over its open end with the lower edges transversely secured to the bag at 4A is caused to fold along an oblique line 5A when a filling nozzle 7 is inserted so that the corner of the bay is pushed inwards to form a filling valve 8. As described, the lower edges of the hood 2 are welded to the opposite sides of the bag 1 transversely at 4A, (4B) (Fig. 2, not shown) and obliquely at 5A, (5B). After filling, the corners of the hood 2 are spot welded to the bag at 6 and (9) or the open end of the bag may be transversely welded (Fig. 5, not shown) and/or the longitudinal edges of the hood 2 welded to the bag at (10) and (11).
