A food container (2;), Fig. 3 (not shown), for mounting on a shelf (3), Fig. 5 (not shown), below an evaporator, has a removable lid (1), Fig. 1 (not shown), in the form of a drip tray with an outlet opening (6) communicating via a duct (8) on a wall of the container (2) with a water outlet (9) in the bottom of the container (2). A defrost water container (5), Fig. 7 (not shown), is mounted in drawer-like fashion on brackets (4) below the shelf (3) and has an opening (10) in its top wall for receiving water from the outlet (9).
