Hoods.-To facilitate the manipulation of vehicle hoods having a forward hoop 1 which is secured to lugs 5 when the hood is extended and to lugs 4 on the rear uprights 8 in the folded position of the hood, the uprights of the hoop 1 are made extensible so that the transference thereof from the one pair of lugs to the other may be effected prior to the actual folding or unfolding operation. Fig. 2 shows the hood preparatory to being unfolded and Fig. 4 shows in broken lines the front frame members in the unfolded position and, in full lines, these members disposed preparatory to folding. The hoop member 1 is divided and the parts can turn independently within a connecting sleeve 6, Fig. 5, to enable the uprights to be separately manipulated. The front hoop 7 is connected by a link 9 with the hoop 1 whereby it can remain attached to the wind-screen during the transference of the uprights to the lugs 4, as shown in Fig. 4.
