22,714. Hemming, H. Oct. 5. Hoods.-The frame of the front extension is connected to the rear hood frame by a single pivot b<1> on each side. It comprises front hoop supports c hinged at f<1> to intermediate bars b pivoted to the forward member a' of the threearmed rear hood frame. An intermediate hoop member d pivoted to the bars b is connected by links e to the front members c. Vertical supports h detachable from the car body are pivoted at f<1> to turn up against the body bars b. In collapsing the hood, the members c fold upwards and rearwards on to the bars b, which are turned down against the members a<1> and fastened thereto by the engagement of members j, j'.
