Abstract

1,083,571. Powder distributers. "SISIS" EQUIPMENT (MACCLESFIELD) Ltd. Feb. 17, 1964 [March 1, 1963; May 14, 1963; July 13, 1963], Nos. 8265/63, 18973/63 and 27845/63. Heading A1D. A distributer for powdered or granular material comprises a hopper including an expendable rigid carton or like container so constructed as to form the working hopper of the distributer. As shown the material is contained in a container 10 formed with an opening 11 closed by a roller 14 on a spindle 13 to which wheels may be attached, a bracket 15 being provided to support a handle. The roller is made of foamed plastic material. In a modification as shown in Fig. 6, a carton is placed on a diminutive hopper 23 and secured in place by thongs 30. Wheels 20 drive a smooth roller which co-operates with pads 25 of sponge rubber.
