A pad for moistening surfaces comprises a water container 1 of resilient flexible material and a cover 5 adapted to be screwed on to a neck 2 of container 1 and having a central aperture 6 in which is received a disc-shaped sponge 7 which is secured together with-solid disc 8 carrying a tube 11 dipping into a container 1, between the cover 5 and the end face of the neck 2 of container 1.
