Abstract

108,264. British Northrop Loom Co., (Northrop Loom Co.). Dec. 13, 1916. Shuttles, changing bobbins in, automatically; checking shuttles and pickers.-When the shuttle is not properly positioned for weft-replenishment, a deflector P, Fig. 3, is moved over the bunter I and the transferrer dog H engages an inclined surface formed by the rearwardly and downwardly inclined surfaces d, f, e of the deflector, the bunter, and a projection R on the bunter respectively, so that the transferrer dog is turned about its pivot g instead of operating the transferrer G. The deflector P has a pin-andslot connexion c, Q, Fig. 1, with the hunter and is connected to a rod 0 pivoted to a lever M controlled by a spring S on a rod a. The incoming shuttle forces the picker K against a projection N on the lever M and moves the deflector to its extreme outer position so that it is not struck by the transferrer dog.
