Abstract

1,080,083. Electromagnetic pulse generators. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. Feb. 16, 1966 [April 14, 1965], No. 6759/66. Heading H2A. [Also in Division F1] The Fig. shows a pulse generator for controlling an ignition system (see also Division F1). The generator includes a stator 122 that has an annular permanent magnet 123 constructed, for example, of barium titanate. An annular magnetic flux gate element 124 is positioned radially outward from the permanent magnet 123. The rotor 145 includes a rotatable plateshaped armature 146 that has a number of depending teeth 147 that correspond in number to the number of teeth on the plates 131 and 132. The arrangement and shaping of the teeth is described with reference to Figs. 8 and 9 (not shown).
