Abstract

1,078,524. Stays; doors &c holders. N. HARE and L. WILSON. Jan. 18, 1965 [Jan. 20, 1964], No. 2362/64. Headings E2A and E2F. In a car bonnet supporting device having a bracket 3, bolts 4 and 5 and hinge arm 6 forming part of the bonnet hinge arrangement, a support arm 8 pivoted on the bolt 4 is biased by a spring 12 towards the bonnet 1. The free end of the said arm 8 has a mouth 16 and slot 18 that engage a channel 7, which is part of the car bodywork, when the bonnet 1 is raised and prevents it from closing. The arm 8 is released manually to lower the bonnet 1.
