Abstract

1320214 Hinge RADIATION Ltd 16 Sept 1970 44131/70 Addition to 1290552 Heading E2F A door hinge comprises a rod 10 acting as hinge pin which fits into the sleeve of a bracket 11. A V-shaped bracket 9 is secured to the rod 10 by welding, and has a projecting portion 17 which has a shoulder 18 extending parallel to the hinge pin. When the door is opened (Fig. 3) the door can be slid along the hinge axis so that the shoulder 18 abuts against the front face 19 of the bracket 11, thereby holding the door open. A retention member formed by a spring clip [16], is mounted on the rod 10 at a hinge [3] Fig. 1 (not shown) to prevent the rod 10 coming out of the sleeve 14.
