Abstract

1,083,327. Bolt fastenings. AERPAT A.G. Dec. 22, 1964 [Dec. 30, 1963], No. 51964/64. Heading E2A. An assembly comprises a frame member B, a closure member hinged to the frame member in fixed relationship, the closure member being plate-like and having an elongated slot therethrough, a bracket 8 having flanges extending along the back side of the closure member and secured thereto, the bracket having an open central area between the flanges registering with the solt, a bolt 1 mounted for pivoting movement on the bracket, the bolt having an end portion 1a located beyond the back side of the closure member and positioned to engage the frame member when the bolt is in the fastening position, the bolt also having a longer arm 1b extending through the slot in the unfastening position of the bolt and forming an operating lever for the bolt, the lever being located within the slot with its outer surface substantially flush with the outer face of the closure member when the bolt is in fastening position, a trigger member 2 carried by the bracket and having an actuator portion 2a located in an end portion of the slot adjacent the free end of the lever the exposed surface of the actuator portion being substantially flush with the outer face of the closure member, means carried by the bracket, supporting the trigger member for sliding movement towards and away from the end of the lever parallel with the outer surface of the closure member, a wall 25a on the bolt lever engaged by the trigger member to hold the lever in fastening position spring means 5 normally urging the trigger member into fastening engagement with the lever and spring means 9 supported by the bracket and engaging the bolt and urging it for rotation about its pivot to a position to release the closure member when the trigger member is retracted from the wall.
