Abstract

939,546. Sliding doors for vehicles. W. DRAUZ. Feb. 8, 1962 [Feb. 16, 1961], No. 4819/62. Class 108(1). A van sliding door 3 carries at its upper edge rollers 4, 5 which engage track 6, 8, and at its lower part a track 11 which is engaged by a roller 12 on a bracing lever 14 pivoted to the vehicle body. The track 6 is pivoted at 21 to the body at its forward end and at its rearward end is carried by an arm 25 pivoted at 24 to the bracket 28 so that it may be swung with the door from a position in which the door is flush with the outside wall of the van to a position in which the switch track 6 is aligned with the track 8 thereby allowing the door to be slid rearwardly along the outside of the van body.
