Abstract

1378706 Releasable fastenings REGIE NATIONALE DES USINES RENAULT and AUTOMOBILES PEUGEOT 5 May 1972 [10 May 1971] 21179/72 Heading E2A A window 1, which is biassed leftwards to the closed position, may be held in the closed position, Fig. 3, by an abutment 14 hinged at 12, or held in a slightly open position, Fig. 5, between this abutment and an arm 13 of a manually operable lever 11 to which it is linked by slight lost motion. The abutment 14 is held in the fastening position by a projection 15 which enters a hole in spring 18. Leftward rotation of the lever causes a projection 24 on it to raise the spring, Fig. 4, to release the abutment for rotation with the lever to the ajar position, Fig. 5, and on further rotation to the open position, Fig. 6.
