Abstract

1,078,037. Wall linings. TEXAS INDUSTRIES Inc. Nov. 11, 1964 [Nov. 15, 1963], No. 46040/64. Heading EIW. Wallpaper 24 is run into a groove 9 formed around the edge of a ceiling 8, which may open out into a groove 25 at the top of a wall also. The groove 9 is formed by spacing softboard ceiling panels 8 from the top of the wall, the ceiling panels being supported by laths 7 attached to girders 4A, 5A, supported by beams 4 and 5. As shown, the groove 25 is formed between solid wall portions 1, (Fig. 1, not shown) where panels 16 and 17 close the opening between a door frame 15 and an upper wooden beam 18. Groove 9 is said to be preferably seven millimetres wide, but always less than two centimetres, and the distance 22 to be about four centimetres from top to bottom.
