Abstract

1,073,051. Electrically heated pressure head for aircraft. AVIMO Ltd. Jan. 12 1966 [Jan. 15, 1985], No. 1977/65. Heading H5H. A pressure head comprises an .electrical heating element embedded in silicone rubber (4), Fig. 2 (not shown) between an outer housing (2) and an inner metal core (1). The element comprises two non-uniform helical windings (3a), (3b) between three layers of rubber (5), (6), (7), starting and finishing. at the same end of the head. The housing and core are of Cu and the wire may have a high temperature/ resistance coefficient to avoid overheating.
