[Also in Division H1] A heating and monitoring cable for an electric blanket comprises a three-core concentric arrangement having a resistance wire 10 helically wound on an insulating core 9, and covered with "mains voltage" insulation 11 and overwound with metal tapes 12, 14 covered by lowvoltage insulater 13, 15. In use the monitoring tapes are connected to a temperature sensing resistor at one end, and through a switching circuit to a low-voltage transformer at the other end.
