A continuous rolling mill train for rolling small steel sections, or wire, comprises a roll stand 1 having rolls 2, Fig. 1, radially adjustable by a hand wheel 3, roll stands 4, 5, 6, 7 having fixedly adjustable rolls and a roll stand 12 having rolls 13 radially adjustable by a hand wheel 14. Chocks 4b-7b are set and fixed by distance-pieces 10 and wedges 11. The peripheral speed of rolls in stand 12 may be varied. Stands 1 and 12 have individual drive motors (15), (17), Fig. 2 (not shown), and stands 4-7 have a common drive motor (16) The rolls are shaped to form an oval-oval, ogive-ogive, or diamond-diamond pass.
