Abstract
931,540. Rolling. SCHLOEMANN A.G. Jan. 31, 1962 [Feb. 6, 1961], No. 3615/62. Class 83 (4). A roll stand for rolling wire consists of a number of two-high sets of rolls each displaced from its preceding set by 90 degrees, the rolls 2 each being mounted in an assembly bridge 1 such that in a given position of one bolt 6 of four bolts 5-8 which support the bridges, one bridge of each set can be swung out of alignment. The bolt 6 is divided such that when it is moved axially the appropriate bridges are free to move, all the bolts normally being held in position by wedges 12 and 13.
