Abstract
1,070,210. Spray-producers. HOERBIGER VENTILWERKE A.G. March 4, 1965 [March 11, 1964], No. 9354/65. Heading B2F. A spray device for lubricants comprises a lubricant container 1 having a filling-hole closed by a plug provided with an extension 28, an atomizer head 2 having a through-port 4 for compressed air flow, and a passage 6 connecting the port and the container, said passage being controlled by a valve actuated by the plug extension 28. The valve is a spring-loaded ball, Fig. 5 (not shown) mounted in a housing 15 secured to the bottom of the head 2 by a screw 26. A bore within the screw leads from the passage 6 to within the housing. The passage 6 is located in front of a restrictor 5 in the port 4 in the direction of air flow and if the direction of air flow is reversed the screw 26 is fitted into an alternative air inlet normally closed by a plug 29. The lubricant reaches the drip cowl 3 via an adjustable screw valve operating in the upper end of a pipe 7 having a non-return valve at its lower end.
