Abstract

1,066,988. Crash barriers. CHRISTIANI & NIELSEN Ltd. and G. PERSICKE. June 1, 1965 [Nov. 11, 1964; April 23, 1965], Nos. 46011/64 and 17319/65. Heading E1G. The guard rail of a crash barrier is pivotally mounted on an arm pivoted on a ground base member, the upward swinging movement of the arm being damped by a hydraulic shock absorber or a spring. The rail support is counterbalanced to keep the rail face vertical and a stop on the arm ensures the rail maintaining a predetermined height when static.
