Abstract

1,065,227. Hydraulic reciprocating motors. POCLAIN. May 27, 1965 [June 3, 1964], No.22650/65. Heading F1A. In a reversible hydraulic motor having one or more revolving cylinder blocks 1 with radial pistons engaging a cam track, a pintle valve 5 supplying the cylinders 2 incorporates a manually or hydraulically-actuated slide valve 18 which is operable to connect all of the cylinders to the supply or some of the cylinders to supply and the others to a groove 24, thereby controlling the speed of the motor when the rate of liquid supply is constant. Valve 18 is moved to the position shown by hydraulic pressure supplied to chamber 26 from the motor supply, and is moved to the left by the pressure in chambers 19 and 20 when chamber 26 is connected to exhaust. Groove 24 may be connected to chamber 26 by passage 24a. In another embodiment Fig. 2 (not shown) a spring- loaded slide valve provides three motor speeds and is actuated in both directions by hydraulic pressure from a supply independent of the main motor supply.
