[Also in Division B4] A cutting disc or hub for a circular knife is secured to a shaft 6 by providing a central annular groove in the knife or hub in which is inserted a hardened thin - walled slotted clamping ring 4 surrounding the knife shaft 6 with a slight degree of play. Pressure is exerted towards the centre of the ring by a number of pressure members, e.g. balls 3 or cylindrical rollers, or by a resilient mass. The pressure is applied by a pressure screw 5. The screw may be inserted axially or radially.
