Abstract

1,062,210. Arrangement of jacks for lifting posts &c. EBERHARD DORNFELD, [trading as DELMAG MASCHINENFABRIK REINHOLD DORNFELD]. Nov. 12, 1965 [Nov. 20, 1964], No. 48123/65. Headings B8B and B8J. An apparatus for withdrawing posts 1 &c. from the ground comprises a pair of jacks 7, 8 on opposite sides of the post, a clamp 2 holding the post and adapted to be lifted by the jack cylinders and a pair of connection frames 15, 15<SP>1</SP> mounted between and articulated to the jacks and in engagement with the post 1. Each end of the clamp 2 is attached to the two ends of a cable 5<SP>1</SP> passing over a pulley 6<SP>1</SP> on the end of the movable cylinder 7. The upper connection frame 15<SP>1</SP> is articulated to lugs 16 on the cylinder 7, further holes being provided in the lugs for lifting the whole apparatus. The lower frame 15 is articulated to the pistons 8, the lower ball ends 9 of which are stated in sockets 10 on bases 11. Each connection frame 15<SP>1</SP>, 15<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 2 (not shown), comprises a pair of opposed U-shaped members whose free ends telescope together and are normally held in the fully telescoped position by a compression spring arrangement within the said ends. Four buffers adjustably positioned on each connection frame, are spring urged into engagement with the post 1.
