The regulator is for an electric clock of the kind in which the oscillations of a spring balance escapement are synchronized with a synchronous motor. The motor (not shown) causes oscillation of an anchorage 9 to which the outer end of the balance spring (not shown) is fixed. A pivot bearing 11, 12 for the balance staff is carried inside a support element 4 fixed to the balance bridge 1, and a carrier 8 for the anchorage 9 is mounted coaxially on element 4. The construction avoids contamination of the lubricant used for the pivot bearing 11, 12 by the different lubricant used between the carrier 8 and its support 4. A regulator arm 14 is pivoted on carrier 8, and pivoted on arm 14 is a lever 16 carrying the usual curb pins 15. Lever 16 is frictionally engaged with arm 14 for movement therewith.
