Abstract

1,126,000. Clocks and watches. UNITED STATES TIME CORP. Aug.21, 1967 [Sept.21, 1966], No.38507/67. Heading G3T. A balance staff 4 is supported at one end in a pivot, e.g. a jewel bearing assembly 9, in a frame plate 1 and at the other end in a pivot, e.g. a jewel bearing assembly 5, mounted in a bridge 2 having at least one end adjustable relatively to the plate 1 by rotation of an eccentric 12 which bears against an inclined surface on a shoulder 10 on the bridge 2. The bridge 2 is secured in adjusted position by tightening a screw 16. In an alternative embodiment a bevelled shoulder on the adjustable eccentric bears against a shoulder on the bridge.
