Abstract
1,060,566. Medical pads. SCHOLL MFG. CO. Ltd. May 21, 1964 [June 6, 1963], No. 21104/64. Heading A5R. A cushioning pad for chiropodial purposes comprises a body part 6 of cushioning material (e.g. felt, sponge rubber, polyvinyl foam or polyurethane foam) having a groove 3, preferably V-shaped, in its outer periphery and a loop 4 for attaching the body 1 to the user. The pad has affection receiving opening 2. The loop 4 is attached directly or indirectly to the body 1. In Fig. 6 (not shown), the loop (17) is attached to a flap (16) which rests in the groove of the pad. The body part (Fig. 3, not shown), may be formed from parts (6a) and (6b) joined by a strap (7), which parts are secured together and strap (7) forms the digit loop. The outer peripheries of parts (6a) and (6b) are bevelled. The inner periphery of (6a) is partially bevelled and partially straight walled; the inner periphery of (6b) is straight walled.
