A chest bandage for use in cases of fractured ribs consists of a band 2 of slightly elastic material having its edges turned over and secured by lines of stitching 4, 5 to a tubular outer cover 3 of soft textile material. The bandage is tightened by straps 6, 7, 8 engaging double rings 10, 11, 12 and it may be provided with rubber inserts 14, 15, 16 to give a desired elastic characteristic.
