A suspensory comprises two similar sheets of material 11 joined along their lower edges 14 and each having one end of a body strap 18 joined to its upper portion. An adjustable strap 24 also extends between the upper parts of the sides to hold these in the desired position. Preferably the body of the appliance is made from flexible moisture impervious material such as a vinyl resin.
