Abstract

A composition consists essentially of 1-20 weight per cent atactic polypropylene and 80-99 weight per cent asphalt. The standard needle penetration of the composition is preferably 70-120 at 77 DEG F. The penetration ratio is preferably at least 30. The polypropylene has M.W. 10,000-40,000. The composition may be blended with mineral aggregates, cement, sand, asbestos, vermiculite or glass fibres. The composition may be used for paving, soil stabilization, linings, coatings and for making moulded articles.
