104,549. Birkbeck, H., (International Leather Folding Machine Co.). March 13, 1916. Coating-machines.-In the pasting and folding of leather, cloth, paper and other flexible sheet material, paste is applied to the turned-up edge of the sheet 177 by a bevel pasting-roll 162 carrying a creasing-disk 176 coacting with a heated creasing- disk 195 below the sheet. Paste is supplied through an aperture in a formation 163 by a disk 161. The device is carried in pivoted bearings so that it can be tilted out of operative position. In treating straight-edged material, paste is applied prior to turning up the edge by a pasting-roll fed through a train of rolls from a roll dipping into a fountain.
