Abstract

104,335. Buch, M. F'eb. 21, 1916, [Convention date]. Hoods.-Relates to hoods.of the kind described in Specification 8326/14 in which the links 5 of. the front extension are operatively connected with a rear hoop 3. The hoop member extending rigidly from the upper part of the standards 1 is dispensed with and the rear hoop 3 is connected to either the upper or lower pair of limbs 6, 5. The front hoop member 4 is connected by links 5, 6 with the main standards 1, and the rearwardlyextending hoop member 3, also pivoted upon the standards 1, is connected by links 7 to a cranked part of the link 5 or, as shown, of the link 6. The joint 4<a> of the members 4, 6 is a stop-joint, so that these members must fold .downwardly against the standards 1, the hoop 3 moving at the same time into alinement with the standards 1. The framework is designed to dispense with the hoop member usually rigidly mounted upon the standards 1, but such a hoop may be added. There may be also a hoop 9 pivoted upon the link 5 and having a pin-and-slot connexion 9<b> with the link 6. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes a framework in which the usual hoop extending rigidly from the standards is provided and in which the hoop 3 is connected to the link 6. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
