Abstract
1,032,515. Combustion chambers. O. W. E. HUWALD. Feb. 22, 1963 [Feb. 28, 1962], No. 7228/63. Heading F1B. The tip of a feed injection nozzle 11, Fig. 1 (not shown) is kept clean by a blast of combustion products issuing from the narrow opening 14, Fig. 2 (not shown) of an air cell 10 secured to the top of the piston. The cell 10 is formed of two parts screwed or welded together, the lower part carrying a screw for securing it to the piston and the upper part being formed of a high heat resisting material such as "Stellite" (Registered trade mark), or chromenickel steel.
