Abstract
1,028,016. Prestressing concrete. BAUDIN CHATEAUNEUF. June 4, 1963 [June 8, 1962], No. 48093/64. Divided out of 1,028,015. Heading E1V. A concrete structure is post-tensioned with a stranded cable 1 by forming a protuberance 7 on the cable, fitting a shell 41 about the protuberance, the shell being internally and externally screw-threaded, attaching a jack to the shell via a retaining member screwed into the shell, tensioning the cable, and tightening a locknut 42 against the end-plate 34 of the concrete structure.
