A tendon arrangement in a prestressed concrete structure is tensioned by tensioning each cable 2 of a bundle of cables by means of separate tensioning jacks for the individual cables, the cables being anchored in an anchor plate 7. A helical member 8 may surround the cables which have been splayed out from sheath 3 and the member 8 may be embedded in concrete support plate 10. The cables may be splayed out by distribution member 4 which has an extension 11.
